CASA
for the Highland Lakes Area, Inc. is a
501(c)(3) charitable non-profit organization--the only
organization in Blanco, Burnet, Lampasas, Llano, and San Saba
counties that recruits and trains volunteers to provide direct
services to children after they have been removed from their
home by the Texas Department of Family and Protective Services due to abuse and/or neglect
CASA volunteers
are the voice for these children in court and “speak up” for
their best interest throughout the judicial process.
To date, CASA
for the Highland Lakes Area has served over 1300 child
victims. CASA has helped get children out of foster care in
half the time it would ordinarily take— at a considerable
savings to taxpayers.
